How can you make a difference?
The Communication Officer (Digital Engagement & Marketing Content) leads the strategic use of digital channels to advance UNICEF Thailand’s communication, fundraising, and advocacy priorities. The role serves as the driver of the office’s digital supporter engagement strategy, ensuring that content, campaigns, and user experiences are optimized for maximum reach, impact, and conversion across web, social, and emerging platforms.
The position is accountable for:
– Delivering measurable growth in digital engagement – expanding and diversifying UNICEF Thailand’s online supporter base, increasing interaction quality, and converting engagement into tangible advocacy actions and fundraising outcomes.
– Safeguarding UNICEF’s brand and credibility in digital spaces – ensuring all online content meets global brand guidelines, proactively managing risks, and protecting the organization’s reputation across platforms.
– Integrating digital engagement into every aspect of UNICEF’s work – from public advocacy campaigns and programme visibility to donor stewardship and partner activations, ensuring that digital is not an add-on but a core driver of results.
– Leading innovation in digital strategy – staying ahead of trends, technologies, and algorithms to continuously refine UNICEF’s digital presence, adopting new approaches that keep the organization relevant and competitive in an evolving landscape.
By embedding a digital-first approach across the office, the role ensures that UNICEF Thailand remains visible, trusted, and influential—mobilizing the support needed to deliver lasting change for every child.

Minimum requirements:
Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations/Communication, Digital Media and any other related fields.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Broadcast media, Interactive digital media and any other related fields.
Skills: Experience with Marketing Strategy, Data Analytics, Fundraising, Leadership, Team Management.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in Thai and English (both written and spoken) is required.
Desirables:
Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish)
Familiarity with emergency situations, relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Familiarity with analytics and performance tools (Google Analytics Meta Insights, social listening platforms, CRM systems)
Supervising consultants, agencies, or vendors.
